In Line Commercial Construction Completes Oregon Health and Science University's Seismic Upgrade

While many building owners are trying to renovate their 1960s architecture, those at Oregon Health and Science University wanted to preserve theirs.

In Line Commercial Construction recently wrapped up a seismic renovation at Oregon Health and Science University's west campus administration building. Originally, In Line planned to strengthen the building's tapered, exterior columns with carbon fiber wrap, a material used to strengthen a building. But OHSU officials decided that the carbon fiber would alter the building's look. Instead, In Line poured interior concrete shear walls between the columns, which strengthened the building while preserving its architecture.
