A general contractor based in The Dalles will build a pedestrian bridge over Hedges Creek in Tualatin. Civil Construction Co. was the lowest bidder on the $155,000 project for the city of Tualatin.

The bridge provides an important link to Tualatin Community Park, near the junction of Tualatin and Boones Ferry roads. Pedestrians now cross the creek over a small culvert, said Kaaren Hofmann, civil engineer with the city of Tualatin.
