$82m in Federal Funds Allocated to State of Oregon

Summary

More than $82 million has been allocated to the state of Oregon by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

HUD announced Wednesday that it has allocated 75 percent of its $13.61 billion in funding from the ARRA, or $10.1 billion. Those receiving funding will not be required to apply for the funds so that money for projects can be distributed quickly. HUD's remaining funds will be used to promote green jobs and to ease the effects of foreclosures on communities.
