A new center for sustainable solutions to Oregon's natural resource issues is settling into space at Lewis & Clark Law School this summer. The research and policy hub, called The Kitzhaber Center, will take on projects in partnership with the law school's Natural Resources Law Institute. Former Oregon Gov. John Kitzhaber will serve as president, and Peter Green, most recently a natural resources advisor to Kitzhaber, will serve as executive director.
Green said the center took advantage of an ideal opportunity to partner with the resources the law school provides, the professors with expertise in natural policy and the law students who may be able to intern and provide assistance. He added that for the students, there is a chance to work with the former governor, who will be dedicating about a third of his time to the center, and apply their education in natural resources and policy making.See the full content of this document
