A bill headed to the U.S. Senate floor would grant $300,000 to solar energy research at Portland State University if passed.
The Senate Appropriations Committee, which includes Oregon Sens. Gordon Smith and Ron Wyden, has included $300,000 in funding for the university's Solar Photovoltaic Test Facility System, Materials & Installation Project in H.R. 2419, the Energy and Water Appropriations bill.
