More than half of the projects that applied for federal funding through the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program with the regional government agency Metro will not receive funding.
This year, 73 applications requesting a total of $129.8 million in federal funds were received from eligible government transportation agencies. Metro, however, only has $57.75 million in federal funds available for this round of funding, which will be implemented in 2008 and 2009.See the full content of this document
