A celebration to dedicate the new Rood Bridge across the Tualatin River on Rood Bridge Road will take place Friday.
Washington County, the Oregon Department of Transportation, OBEC Consulting Engineers and Carter & Co. Construction will be on hand at the themed Linking the city with the country, event at The Riverhouse at Rood Bridge Park, 4000 S.E. Rood Bridge Road in Hillsboro. The event, which begins at 3:00 p.m., will feature tours of the bridge via golf carts from the Meriwether National Golf Club.
